Proposed Roundabouts in the Los Cerritos Neighborhood

Thank you to everyone who responded to the LCNA survey regarding the proposed roundabouts. In order to ensure the responses were from the neighborhood, we only counted responses that included name and address, and cross-checked the address to the neighborhood boundaries of the Virginia CC, Long Beach Blvd, Blue Line and 405.

Here are the results from 115 responses:

Question #1: Are you in favor of a roundabout at 36th/Pacific/Country Club?
“Yes”  36% 41 responses
“No”    64% 74 responses


Question #2: Are you in favor of a roundabout at 36th/Pacific/Country Club, if the residential parking could be reinstated?
“Yes”  39% 45 responses
“No”   57% 66 responses
            4% 4 responses skipped the question


Question #3: Are you in favor of a roundabout at Bixby/Pacific?
“Yes”  34% 39 responses
“No”   66% 76 responses


The survey responses clearly indicate the neighborhood is against the roundabouts. A higher response rate is always desired, though these responses do reflect a neighborhood "opinion" and can be quoted in conversations and presentations. Your LCNA encourages all of you to continue to express your opinion to your councilmember and other city staff.
