Rick Ivey attended the meeting. His comments:
The pertinent information is the I-710 freeway expansion will be at grade level when it goes past our neighborhood behind Los Cerritos Elementary School.
It was also interesting to note the pollution from new truck regulations will lower emissions about 80% from 2008 levels by 2035. There is a chart to show this and how other pollution reduction components would fit into the equation.
Also, the clover-leaf freeway transitions for the 405 to 710 Freeway are obsolete for trucks. Eventually, these will be replaced with sweeping elevated transitions as are presently used at the 710 to 105 freeway juncture.
There is presently money for sound walls to be built to mitigate traffic and construction noise. These can be built ahead of a project and landscaped instead of after the fact as has been done in the past.
